i own a alpine cda-9855 and i was wondering if someone can help me out. i know how to change the bass on the sub but i dont know how to lower the bass on the speakers. can someone help me?

 

I did some reading and basically they say

Press menu and go into the bass engine mode and once in there press mode

use either left or right skip song buttons to select the Bass Center Frequency

press source/power to select desierd bass center freq

press band to set desierd bass bandwitch
1 being narrow and 4 being wide
wide will boost a wide range of freq above and below the center freq u set
narrow will focus a narrow range around the center frew u set


then u use the rotary **** to set bass level

then press menu to select return



that should be just for speakers, theres a whole nother smack of stuff for ur sub, its kinda in the same place but different

but the thing is how do i get into the bass engine mode im so lost

 

i have a 9855 as well. currently, its sitting in my bedroom, hope to get it installed again someday.
When i had it in my old car, I set up the crossovers and eq on the i-personalize website. I saved a whole bunch of different settings to different file names and put them all on disk so i could try each one. Worked great.
I found it extremely difficult to work my way thru menus on the front panel to get to manual eq settings.
I found the handheld ir remote made getting to settings a lot easier.
Don't try this while you're driving.
