Need some help

Hey guys,

Been a long time since I played with car audio so I consider myself a newbie all over again. I am looking at putting 2 ten inch subs under the seat of my new dodge ram truck and just can't decide what to do. I am going with the thunderforms box from mtx but I nee dsome help in choosing a good sub that will fit that enclosure. I am looking into the Orion Cobalt stuff right now. any ideas would be great. Also, I am wondering if I am better running a mono amp (orion 800.1) or a 2 channel (PG Ryval v1502) ? I can get both for pretty much the same price. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Figure out how much space you have...that will be the biggest issue for under seat application. Then your budget, and the type...ported, sealed, etc... Then we can give some suggestions.

the enclosure has 1.5 m3 feet of space and is a sealed unit. I am just looking for some thump so I don't need competition stuff but I don't want canadian tire stuff either. under 200 for each sub is reasonable for me and I can get the orion 800.1 mono amp for 250. I am just not sure if that is a good amp or not.

I'm not 100% sure, but my guess is you'd need shallow mount subs to fit underneath a seat. not that familiar with Orion subs or if they offer shallow subs, but I hear their amps are really good.

just a though, if you're already getting a thunderform enclosure, why not get a loaded one so that you know what subs will fit your appilcation for sure?

That is a complete score on the box for sure. I have shallow mount subs in stock that are in need of a new home. I happen to have a matching amp to them as well.
