as the title states im looking for suggestions for a Mono sub amp but i really don't know what to look for. I have up to $500 to spend but would hope to only spend $400 if possible

-currently running 2 12" 4 ohm dvc infinity reference subs (300 rms each)

-future subs will be kicker CVR's 2 12's or 2 15's in 2 ohms( up to 500 rms)

Amp should put out around 600 watts in 2 ohm impedance or higher and should be of decent quality.

I was looking at getting the infinity reference 1600a but i was told not to that inifinity amps are garbage.

im willing to buy grey market amps off ebay or buy from the states if need be.

i have those infinity subs, and i'm running them with a clarion DPX1800. runs them very well. it does 900w into 2 and 1 ohm. this gives room for an upgrade because you've got an extra 300w of headroom, and its 1ohm stable. comes with a bass **** and all the fixins, and looks pretty mean too. check it out.

since you have 2 12" 4ohm DVC you need an amp that runs 600watts rms at 1ohm or 4ohm

i looked it up and its a dual 4ohm voice coil witch means for 2 subs it will run at 1ohm or 4ohm

i didnt find anyplace online that told me that its a dual 2ohm unless you can show me wrong and 2 subs that are dual 2ohm will run 2ohm or 8 ohm yes but so far not in this case

ok i checked it it says 2 or 8 ohm but that means its a dual 4 ohm coil and thats what i ment ... if you have 2 subs you need an amp that pushes the power you need at 1ohm or 4ohm

so do you have any suggestions for the amp? I was leaning towards hifonics amps if good or i could also get a 500 rms at 4 ohms mono sub amp right now for 389.99 its an alpine amp but not the pdx, i think its the mdr or something with an m in it.
