The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the dvd-a playback on some of the units are 2ch. mixdown and not multi channel. I don't understand why it's so difficult to get an affordable dvd-a deck to market. Other than that, they look good...nice and clean.

by DVD-audio on some of the higher end decks.....does that mean a dvd just filled with mp3's will play fine? essentially a data dvd.
Or am i reading things wrong
mmk that was a dumb question now that i look more so into the specs.
I wish there was a side by side of hte 9860 and 9861 - cause i can't completely figure out whats different - least not easily.

DVD-audio is 2 ch. mixdown...so no multi channel! I don't understand why it's so difficult to put multi channel dvd-a compatibility into $1000.00 head units, when you can get the technology in $200.00 home units(Pioneer, Samsung).
