New American Bass Deadener
I think this conversation should happen through PM or outside of THIS thread.
I don't bring it up every-single-day, even though I'm one of the ones effective by a blown-up amp.
My amp was running fine for weeks ... I was running it nicely.
I had some issues with my imprint module and the positioning, so it just so happens that I was with Jalat fixing this issue and listening to music.
We had it up and thing thing you know, pop-pop-pop the thing is smoking and blowing up. Reason? The case housing the amp is in is weak and the parts inside are exposed. Vibration caused my amp to explode. A weak back plate touched the power supply.
It had nothing to do with wires crossed or a bad instillation ... I don't even think additional rubbers at the bottom of the amp would have helped this amp.
I've had other amps in the exact same position that have not blown up. The housing inside is protected better. The product inside the AB 500.1 and 400.1 are open and if you drop enough water on the amp, I'm sure that will soak inside and burn up some wires too.
If you don't like Jalat, that's cool, but don't talk about ME when you don't even know me brozonie. I sought out American Bass products after seeing the competition using it and obviously the opinions I had of the company itself ... I SOUGHT IT OUT BECAUSE I LIKED IT ...
BUT HOW CAN I LIKE SOMETHING after NO BODY ... NO ONE from "American Bass Canada" is willing to solve this simple issue. Take out the old , put in the new .
If anything, Jalat and I have jumped leaps and bounds to fix these ****ing amps in Canada, or at least talk to the right people who can make it happen. No one from American Bass has stepped up to help out ...
So, you tell me why Jalat isn't a FAN of American Bass products anymore?
Give me a ****ing break.

Thats get back on topic and post this cry baby stuff somewhere else. The deadener, im told, in very similar to dynomat extreme. I will post more pictures after i recieve my packages. The price should be good but Bob doesnt really have a price at this moment because he just got the shipment in friday.
hmmm funny....many of other people have ran a 500.1 mounted the same way as you and they have had no issues. You guys just don't know what your doing with these big amps. You guys bought used amps that have been beat on and then you think you can get competitor support. Last time I checked you don't compete. You never invested any money directly to american bass so you are asking for free support. I bet either of you called Bob and talked about options but instead you guys come on here crying and bitching. Do what everyone else doesnt and send the amp to an amp repair center and stop bitching. Nate got his cactus ampss and they blew up within in a week. Did you see him bitching? Did he expect cactus to support him? NO. You guys are just noobs bottom line.
What you do or do not believe happened, I'm TELLING you what happened. That's pretty obvious since my voltage was more than enough for this amp and as I said, my setup was fine for ... A month?
Regardless of all of that, when someone blows up an amp and asks "Hey, let's get this fixed" and the office doesn't have a damn word to say about it, that's a problem. A huge problem.
Kicker bends over backwards to answer my questions. So has Sundown audio. So has KnuKoncepts. Do I have to go on or you get the point I'm making?
Well wait, how can you when you haven't been on this end of the emails and phone calls. Alright then. That's why both of us will never buy another American Bass product.
And by the way, when Nate's amps were blowing up and that company was giving him a hard time there, he would say the exact same thing I'm saying right now. No support from the company, user is not interested in their product anymore.
I will dealing with this continuing issue off this thread, thank you.

if you are not on 'team ab' then you are a nobody. if you haven't sunk your life savings into ab products like jesse has, then you will never get any treatment.
countless emails un answered, phone calls dropped.
BUT.
if jesse blew up an amp? man, he'd get two more for free.
its called favoritism. its happens in school, work, the office, anywhere. the fact that jesse has spent more money than rob and i, is why he will always get the benefit of the doubt.
companies that do well with customer service (sundown is the best i've dealt with) is because they treat customers equally. the guy who spent $5000 on product is just as good as the guy who spent $145 on product.
my comment earlier was just a joke. when i see ab, i say fire. everyone has there opinion on products... and whether it was user error or not, there is more than the reason my amp caught on fire (that many of you know about *cough* ed *cough*) that makes me upset about the product/company in general

Im not taking sides with either one of you, you both sound like a bunch of bass drama queens, the fact in the matter, the company does not have the obligation to fix used amps! part two, the company should atleast HELP you get your amp fixed it it had blow up, regardless the reason. They SHOULD help you get the amp fixed at YOU OWN COST, simply because it is a used amp.
but this is why you have the BULL$#!* of buyin g used or online ar whatever. Dont want problems ? buy new from a store and stop bitching!
thats my opinion!
