he is right. with a pair of those subs u do not have a good/proper match for that amp.

with a pair of dual 4 type x's you can only get 4 OR 1 ohm. NO 2 ohm.

im still gonna say that colossus will eat those subs alive like nothing if you could wire them at 2 ohm.

colossus is 2 UNSTRAPPED amps in one case. you do not actually bridge the channels, when you do that you are actually strapping the two boards that are inside that case.

There are a crapload of amps to consider that will deliver this kind of power into either 1 or 4 ohms. Do you have a budget for the new amp?
