NEW Big 3 Upgade question
I've got a Toyota MR2. For those that don't know it's a mid engine, and the Battery is in the front. I understand the premise of the Big 3 Upgrade, but here's what I gotta know. I will run 1/0 from the alt + to the battery +, and 1/0 from the Battery to the Chasis ground, and then 1/0 from the block to the Chasis ground. So the question is do I haev to ground the battery and the block to the same chasis ground, or can I ground up front for the battery and in the back for the block? I'm tryign to draw out the electrcal for the sytem and my mind is going criss cross all over the place. Thanks for the heads up.

can never have to many grounds, if u can afford it, put a ground from the alt ground to ur batt ground and alt + to batt + thne ground ur batt right where it is and ur engine right to the chassis as well, id say that would cover all the scenerios, and like i said, can never have to much ground

haha.. you made my scenario worse! Now it's the big 4 upgrade! thats a lot of 1/0 wire running up and down my car. I guess what I was getting at is should I try to keep more common grounds? I also planned to run the amp grounds (4gauge) back to the battery too. Honestly I am not sure I even have the room to run essentially 4 4 gauge wires, and 3 1/0 wires the length of the car. 4 for amps.. 2 + and 2 -, 1/0 from alt to + on battery, 1/0 from alt to - on battery, and one from the block to a chasis ground ground up front to go with the battery to chasis ground... arg.. my head is too full.

I have considered this but from reading lots anything less than 2 ga is perhaps pointless. I have an Audison 1.400, and a 2.500 so I'm at about 1050watts RMS. I have been having trouble sourcing 2 ga. and found from www.kunkonceptz.com so great pricign on 1/0 wire.
My issue still lies with my particular car, where I should ground them. IF need be I'll have to come up with somethign in terms of "physical" space for what is required. I'd rather know whats needed even if slightly overkill and worry about the "details" after.
