New Buick with Bose System, need Subs
Hi Every1, I haven't been on here in a long time.
I gave my daughter the MonteSS and got myself a new Grampa car, 2017 Buick Lacrosse. It's got the Intelilink Nav and Bose 11 speaker system, but really needs some help in the bottom end.
(I've been spoiled by the Alpine Bass Engine and 15" Kickers), so I'm looking for some quality subs to boost the end bass.
I don't want to use up all my trunk space, so I'm looking for a pair of good 10's or 12's in a low profile or shallow box. I think I'd need an amp with a phase adjustment in order to match it with the rest of the system. Variable crossover or filter and an eq adjustment on the amp would be a bonus.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanx,
Grampa Tom

A friend of mine just recently used a single Digital Designs SL712, 12" shallow mount sub in a 1.25 cube box as per the manufacturer...powered by a 1000 watt Soundstream amp...not sure what the settings were, but it sounds great and gets bloody loud. It's in a dodge charger with the factory Beats audio premium system. He didn't disconnect the factory sub ( an 8" in a sealed enclosure), just used a high power line level off the sub speaker wires and ran it to the amp. I guess it's already crossed over, but doesn't appear to have any high volume compression in the bass region as many factory systems do. Anyway it sounds great. Highly recommend the DD sub...it's a little monster.

id like the input to the amp to come from the front output of the head unit?
Anybody know where to find that on a new BUICK?

ANC problem
I would love to share, but I’m still looking for answers. I got it installed, but I got Noise! The Bose has a Noise Cancelling system. There’s 3 microphones in the roof. It’s interfering with the new subs. Bass rumble. I need to disconnect the mic’s as far as I can figure out. I can’t find a wiring diagram anywhere. I found a lot of other people have this problem. There are YouTube vids of people with similar problem. None for BUICK lacrosse. If I knew where/how I’d like to disable ANC, preferably at the Bose amp in the trunk. Any help appreciated.
