New Car! Want feedback for Stealth install.

I just bought a new Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Track. I've Tuned the engine and exhaust to some reasonable degree of satisfaction. I'm now ready to upgrade my stereo. I am wanting a total stealth install.

I like the options and controles on the nav system so I'm thinking that I'm just going to keep the factory head unit and just change the speakers, sub and amps. I'm also thinking of adding a processor.

I was thinking of starting with a JL Audio Shallow mount 13" sub in the rear deck. I was also thinking of using a JL Audio HD 900/5 amp to power the whole system. I haven't decided which speakers to use up front. I was thinking of using Audison AV K6. My two worries with this setup are is there going to be enough sub for my likeing and how accurate will it be. Is there something better out there; and the other worry is that I'm not bringing enough power. Should I just say to heck with it and get seperate amps for the subs and components. I'm also not sure to use Rockford 3sixty.2 or if I should use Alpine pxe-h660 imprint sound processors.

Comments and feedback are welcome.
Thanks,
D.

The JL shallow 13 is a good woofer. Not so sure I would run it free-air though. The HD900/5 is a good amp too but at that kind of $$$ you should consider the Audison multichannel amps too.

For a processor, the new RF 360.3 looks pretty neat, the Audion BitOne is an excellent unit, and the new Alpine piece looks good too. Lots of good contenders here - just find the one that meets all of your criteria.

not sure bout the rest of it but why not go with w7's, and build a box into the rear deck.....sounds like you want a solid thump......that could be pretty stealthy....or even 2 of the shallow subs in the rear deck....and a couple 8's in the doors???

Well I want to keep all the trunk space possible. I was thinking that 2 JL 13TW5-3's could be put in the back deck and just make a stealth cabinet underneath. There's aprox 4 cubic feet back there but the depth is only 3 inches. I have just recently bought a JL HD 600/4 and a HD 750/1. I also have 2 infinity Kappa Perfect 10DVQ's. They are the subs with the variable Q resistance cores. If I take the core out completely they are perfect for free air applications. I had contemplated using the infinity's but I think the JL's would be better sounding in the end.

(DUKK) I wanted to thank you for suggesting the bit one. I think it's the winner for me.

Good call on the HD amps, and I'd give the Infinity's a shot.

You mentioned processors, it might be a good idea to check out the JBL MS-8. Very flexible and is an excellent Logic 7 processor. Good luck with your system.

I'm sorry to inform all of you that I don't have my hyundai Genesis anymore. I've been in an accident where the car has been written off. I'm unable to install any more stereo's for the next while. I may not be able to mod my own stereo for a while but be sure I will manage to talk my girlfriend into takeing me to a few soundoffs so I can appreciate others systems for the time being. Thanks everyone for your help and advise.
Sincerely,
DNoakes.

HOLLY buddy, are you alright? The door is right off, did the fire have to pull you out?
Wow that sucks *** but at least it was a write-off and you can start over. What a huge disappointment, at least I HOPE you have your health. Wow, what happened there? Not your fault I'm assuming?
