Daily or SPL use?

If it's daily, I'g go with about 1.3 cubic feet @ 36hz with about ~22 sq in of port

BTW, 1.3 cubes is awefully small to get daily performance, could explain why you cant break a 45!

 

Slot port, face everything foreward in a trunk.

10" 1.5cf3 @ 30hz (SQ) 35hz (daily mix) 40hz (SPL)
12" 2.5cf3 @ 30hz (SQ) 35hz (daily mix) 40hz (SPL)

 

If the rear seat folds and if you seal the front of the box off from the trunk it's louder, the subs move the air in the cabin better because of less cancellation and it's like sticking your head inside the trunk when the bass hits. The cabin sort of becomes the box and the subs are mounted in an exterior wall that isn't in the cabin. Sound waves coming from the back of the box and from the front of the box to the trunk lid back to the front is cancellation. Gains of 1-3db are likely.
