The MXA6004 is 75x4 - unless yo have 2 ohm front speakers. http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products...rs/mxa6004.cfm

As for the 4002 or 4001 question - depends what you woofer impedance is going to be. If it is 4 ohms then choose the 4002. If it is 2 ohms (ie. single DVC 4ohm woofer) then choose the 4001.

I had a 6004, only hooked it up for about an hour of play time, I was pretty impressed with the power, it was running a pair of Infinity 5 1/4 coaxes, and an MTX MZS 1204, it worked great.

The MXA6004 should be fine with my pair of components and a MXS1004 sub right?

For sure

I was also wondering if the amp will draw too much power from my battery and be a strain on my alternator; this is my first amp .

DWVW, didn't know you worked at FS . I'm from the Richmond BC location, landsdowne.

I don't work there anymore.

Aren't these pretty much the exact same question?
