New JL sub (Pics Inside)

So I finally got my woofer that I ordered from Sonic Electronics. They seem to have decent prices and the shipping is fast.

The sub model is a JL Audio 10W0v2-4. It's 300watts RMS and my amp will match it.

Having a ported enclosure built for it at this moment, Getting it build exactly to spec in the manual. I will take more pics once the enclosure is built!

Sorry for the crappy resolution, Just using the camera on my phone.

Did they scratch the serial number off of the sub or remove the sticker if there was one? Is there any serial number on the sub?

The MTX amp I bought from them has a sticker on it as well.

It's an alright woofer. Nice thing about JL is that they pretty much sound the same from model to model, and will work in the same box, so as you add power, you just get a higher model woofer.

Yeah I was just looking for something within my budged so I bought this, It will sure beat the crappy 12" Rockford in a sealed box that's only 150watts RMS .

+1. Wood glue will go a L-O-N-G way in making sure that box is durable to the internal pressure it faces. I usually even go as far as painting the inside of the box with rubberized undercoating. It helps seal the box and adds a bit of mass. If you are going sealed, I would add a 5lb. bag of polyfill stuffing. If you are going ported, use polyfill sheets and right after you spray the box with the undercoating, press the sheets along the perimeter to "glue" them in.
