Just joined the board....thought I'd post a pic of my latest install.

2 L7's in a 2000 GMC extended cab.
It's the first big fibreglass job I've done since '97

L7 12" Dual 2 ohm subs, running off a 600.2 amp.....300 watts each.
The boxes are 2.75 cu ft ported to 36 hz.
It's almost broken in after this weekend, and starting to hit now
We're using Jonah lomuh 6 1/2" components up front, wth a DEH-P960MP head, and a 350.2 amp for the fronts.
A set of 4x6 Fusions in the back door run from the deck...a bit subtle for rear fill, but ran out of time and money for now

Earplugs yes...Don't have a meter, but I'm sure this is well over 140.
Had to rip it all out and change the cap yesterday...seems it was charging in about 1 second.
When we took the cap out, a bunch of brown fluid poured out the vent hole!!!
Anyone heard of that before?

very nice install
that brown stuff is what makes the cap work so you messed it up bad.
why didnt you choose a different amp to run the two subs b/c i know they need more power than you are giving them

Nice install... id be better with 15's instead of 12s though...

Hmm.. ya your cap is toast... you must have let it short out... if that vent wasn't there she would have blown up... now that would be a mess!

my mistake...the subs are running off a 600.1 mono amp
Yes they could use a bit more, but the next amp up was 1/2" too big to fit the install.
Customer is all teeth, and it still slams hard.
The cap was on my display board for a while....could explain why the power supply fans were running a lot lately lol
