new PASMAG:Focus Wagon

Focus Wagon featured and the thing that surprised me is that Future Shop did the custom install. The FS around here don't do anything like that. Good to see one of our members got first page billing - way to go Tim Baillie.
Wish the guys who did this install were in Ottawa - I'd have them do my Focus Wagon.
craig.

Looks great but I was just curious why FS got the contract to do the install. FS doesn't even sell Xtant as far as I know. Just seems odd they were installing audio products they don't carry (although it does have some Pioneer and MTX in there also).

^ They got it for a couple of reasons:
HPA Motorsports did all the custom body and drivetrain work to the car. It was them that had the contract with Ford and since they are about 2 blocks from the Langley FS it was convenient for them to bring it there. In the end they were lucky they did as the car far exceeded anything they imagined
Also, few shops in this area can do work like that, in the timeframe, and do it for the renumeration offered. The speed at which Rob can crank out custom work is impressive. If I owned a shop I would pay that guy large cash.

Actually the car was brought to us because all the gear was supplied by Xtant which is owned by Mitek which owns MTX. The person in charge of all the sponsorships at that time was also the head of MTX Thunderforce of which I am one of the original members.
As well as our relationship with Sony as the rest of the car was all Sony.
