New here, so hello everyone.

I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 ext-cab, and I was just gifted this sub box.

The box has an 11 1/8 inch opening for a 12" square sub, with a depth of 7" for mounting. I've found a decent sub for what I want, the Pyle PLSQ12D (Pyle PLSQ12D 12" Dual 4 Ohm PLSQ Red Label Series Square Car ).

Now my question...I have a JL Audio 300/2 amp. I don't know enough about spec. matching to know if it will work with this Pyle sub above. I feel like the amp won't have enough power for it though. So, is there a not-so-expensive amp I should buy, or can I use the 300/2 with it?

This is a budget build, so I'm kind of stuck with that sub I think. Damn hard to find a cheap square sub.

What do yall think? Thanks!

I'm trying to spend under 100 on a new amp, I just don't know the specifics of a matching amp would be. I tried reading about resistance and power ratings but its damn confusing.
