well i have about 160.00 dollars to buy a new sub or subs. i'm lookin to get 1 12 or 2 10's. i would like to get something with lots of boom factor to it. just to note i do not have an amp for the sub so i can basicaly get any thing with in that price range. cause i can buy the sub then i'll look at an amp when i get the money.

clarion, rockford, alpine, JL(arn't those expensive), and kenwood. those are the brands i'm lookin at. if any one can help it would be apreciated. cause i have no idea what makes a good sub.

Next issue will be buyign the ammp for the choosen sub.

just to note i have a 4 door chevy lumina car.

How much power would you be putting to it?

If I were in the same boat I'd be looking at getting a single 12.

I had a single 12 in my car for nearly 2 years and it was able to do evertying I wanted it to.

Theoretically 2 10s will be louder but 2 under powered 10's will be equal or crappier than 1 properly powered 12

if your going with just 1 12 save up a bit mroe money to get a decent speaker. as 160 is pushing it for anything if you dont got an amp yet. jsut save the money untill youve got enough to buy evertyhing . no point in having a subwooer witting aroudn yoru house that wil only age and not having anything to power it.

I have a 12" kappa perfect that might work for you. You won't even have to spend the full 160 on it and it only needs about 350w.

^ PM them

Single perfect 12 or type r 12 would be excellent and can both be bought within that price.

heck you might even get a pair of 12s for that much if the right deal comes along.. (2 12" type r's sold for 140 on this forum just a while back)
