New System

hey guys, I have a 2004 F150 Lariat Supercrew with the base audio system, I've decided to do something radical for a person my age, which is 19, instead of doing the typical teen/college student thing of just putting the biggest subs in i can, I want to properlly build an audio system and tear out all of the factory system, I was lead on to sonicelectronix.com by a memeber who I can remember now, but I am sure you know who you are. And I have built a compent list consiting of everything from a headunit to a capictor and this what it is, the total cost is 2400 CDN or 2200 USD with shipping to canada and brokerage fees and everything. I would just have to pay to have installed and for a power kit. IF you guys have any suggestions on possibally substutions that would be great, I would like to keep it around the 2200 USD mark with shipping, all these items are from sonicelectronix.com, the amp produces about 140 amps Thanks in advance for your help!

Sub
MTX Audio Thunderform F150C04T12A-T45 (Tan, Amplified)

Sounds solid to me. Add the "Big Three" to the list and you're good to go. Be warned, you may catch heat for the cap being on there. Most will argue to upgrade the alternator, but I think you'll be very pleased with the components you've selected if they are installed correctly. Also, to be honest, I'm not sure you're going to realize the benefits of that processor with the current speaker choice, but it won't hurt the system at the same time. I'm fairly sure the deck will be able to do what you need it to do and am just worried that the processor may be over-complicating things. Either way, good choices for a very solid entry level system, I doubt you'll be dissappointed

would you suggest i keep the cap on there? or upgrade the alternator. I thought I would be ok if i used a capictor instead of a upgrade dalternator. My current alternator makes about 140 amps. and what do you mean by big 3? unless you mean the big three automakers in that case im a ford boy and will only take the big blue oval!

I would suggest not doing either, your alternater should support that fine with a good battery.Do the big 3 and see how the system works, do a search about it you will get lots of info.Real easy! most vehicles.

Interested in dealing with a great CDN dealer so you have warranty in Canada on all your gear? I will work up a estimate for you on the same or what I feel will be superior equipment and try and keep it in the same ballpark for pricing.

Why are you giving up the Bose system for JBL?
