meh, maybe he just wanted a lowered Blazer?

It isnt like you'd take OUT the 4x4 if you dropped your truck, considering you already own it, etc.

Dereck, tell him to bring you his Impala first, man....much more room...lol

Lowered 4X4's are stupid, I don't mean subaru's or talons or the all-wheel drive cars, they were designed for traction so sod-off. I'm talking about a truck...If it has 4x4 then it should be lifted, if anything, or left alone. Blazer's do look cool lowered, but what's the point of having a lowered 4x4?

It sounds like this guy has some money but what about the average person....they lower thier 4x4 Blazer and all of a sudden you get 12" of snow. The blazer is mere inches from the ground making the 4x4 useless should there be any deep drifts.

Yea, I know what the cyclone is, a good friend of mine in Bowmanville still has one. And it's factory lowered not slammed and inch from the ground Which makes the 4x4 still usefull should it snow.

taking the four wheel drive out of a 4x4 is just what you need to do sometimes. A buddy of mine has a 1999 Durango that has the 4x4 removed and is bagged now, it also has the biggest crate mopar motor you can buy, The 528 HEMI crate. Now that is nuts!!!! I love the cyclone and the typhoon but they are no match for that durango.

^ lol 528's are sweet. Be no match for a Cyclone IF he can get it to hook up. LOL

Does your friend's Blazer have the 4x4 removed Dereck?

That seems like a lot of work just to have a cool looking truck, why not just buy a 2wheel drive Blazer?

Does anybody agree with me that full sized trucks look wierd when lowered?

Dude has a 528 HEMI Durnago? That is insane! I love it!

There is a guy in Abbotsford who bought a Yukon 4x4 and lowered it. The thing is, when those first came out in the early 90s they were all 4x4s so if you want one lowered, you kinda didn't have a choice. I don't see the big deal.

I just don't see the point. People used to buy an SUV for towing, or if they want to do a little off-roading and take the family along or whatever. But all of a sudden some big (C)Rap star has a lowered Escalade and every g'd up white boy with mommy's money has to have one. Then the stupidity starts to show. People start taking an Expedition and an F-350, molding them together and creating a vehicle that was never meant to be and looks terrible. 4x4 trucks should be lifted, if you want to lower a truck, it's a lot less expensive to buy a 2 wheel drive truck and lower it than pull out the transfer case and replace the front axle housing of a 4x4.

In a perfect world, everybody would drive either an ElCamino or a Dodge Rampage, that way there's no BS'ing

I don't think he meant he wanted 4 wheel drive traction for the snow. It's also useful for launching, just like in the Talon and others. Maybe you don't understand it, but when the Blazer driver hauls off the line and beats someone no one would expect a "show truck" to beat, I'll bet he feels great.
