no 2/0 for a good reason?

the higher the strand count the easier it is to work with because it is more flexible.
it will flow the same amount of amps, tho.

I would say to use a finer stranded wire for ease of cutting (I use a sawzall) and being able to put the wire into the terminal. I find it's really had to do with any freys coming off of the wire.

u guys do realize that two runs of 1/0 are better than a single run of 2/0?

when put in the exactly the same scenario, a pair of 1/0 would theoretically be better. I'll let you figure out why.

yes yes yes, 2 runs of 1/0 would carry more power but then i would need 2 runs of 1/0, anyway how the heck did you guys terminate/distribute your 2/0? (or bigger)

i have chosen to try and make a distribution block, i bought a chunk of aluminum today, i would of preferred copper but i think aluminum will do.

my other idea was to isolate a bolt on some wood or plexi and then with a bunch of ring terminals connect all my wire to that. it woudl be easier but not as pretty and i wasn't sure how i would then cover it all off.

you cut 1/0 with a sawzall do you cut wood with a aax too?


go to sears and get a handi cut it goes through stranded wire like butter!!!

Only when I don't have the jig-saw

seriously though.. after cutting the wire with a sawzall, you know how to do it.. it's actually really fast, and easy.
