No ground... still worky...

Alpine 7897. figured out the wiring. put the deck in. before I put my ground on, I accedentaly pressed the open button. and the deck open'd and turned on. as well as played music! but there was no ground connected and the deck was sittin on my shifter so the casing wasnt grounded. hows this happen?

it usually grounds through the ant lead.

like said above ..most likely grounding through the antennas shield which is grounded to the body

Through the antenna is ok but I would still ground it properly just to be safe and make it look good
