Hey there and welcome. Sounds like your into Clarion why the change to hifonics on the new system? The new Clarion amps are stellar.

Well they do take alot of power to run. But it takes power to build power my friend. Those BXI amp are slightly overrated so you will not see 1600wrms out of one but maybe 1400Wrms or so. Hence one of the reasons its not at much draw.

I know it takes power to draw power, but so far i have had some problems with my clarion apa1000.1, it seems it doesnt know if its in 4 or 2 ohms, it will cu tout if i wire it to 2 ohms and plays fine when its wired at 4 ohms, Also i know the hifonics amps are slightly over rated , but i heard they are good at 1ohm stable, they are reasonably priced, its not like i have bought them yet, but thats my plans,.... if i have enough money at the time of purchase i am thinking of doing a rockford t2000bd to each sub.... but that if my $$ allows for it... and of course with the rockfords come a new alt, more 1/0wire and so etc....

Oh ok no problem just a suggestion. But your final load maybe slightly lower then the 2 ohms causing it to kick out, I would meter it at the amp speaker terminals to assure its 2 or higher. The new dpx11500 are full power at 1-2ohms and I heard and saw one running at the clarion 2007 product launch running at .8ohms with 5 pxw 4ohm 10's. But like I said worth looking at.
