Darnet. I think my new HU is dying. It is a Kenwood Excelon KDC X790. Before I bought it I heard tons of good stuff about kenwood but the day after I got it I heard that their cd rollers are smaller than average (or something like that). At first the cd player would just randomly stop every couple of days. No big deal I would pull out the cd and put it back in and call it good and don't get me wrong, the audio features are insane and the sq is very very good (I love this head unit). But yestarday this started happening:
About every 7-8 times that I accelerate around a corner the cd player makes distortion noises like if I am listening to the radio and the station won't come in. I will take the cd out and put it back in and it stops but like 7-8 turns later it comes back. I am TOTALLY clueless about what is going on. Does anyone have knowledge on this subject? (i tried usin the search button but I got nothing)

Well I can't really take it back BUT I CAN SEND IT BACK! But not for a refund which sucks. But I never thought of the possibility of a short. That does make some sense. I was also thinking, this HU has those G force analyzers and I thought that maby the equipment it uses to measure cornering and stuff is screwing with the cd playing quality.
