I read somewhere (it may be on here) that driving on the highway at high speeds with your window down for prolonged periods everyday can damage your hearing...It makes sense to me...I think wind noise gets pretty loud at high speeds...

It's true. I know of some truck drivers that have been driving for 30+ years with hearing damage. It's caused by prolonged exposure to wind noise, tire whine, and most other noises that can be had through hot days on the highway with the window down. You still have to consider that this is from long-term exposure. 8-10 hrs a day, 5 days a week for 30-something years would definitely do some damage.

In a car, yes i agree, but in my truck, (suv really) the whole rear window opens so air flows right through and it's possible to still talk at highway speeds in the car.... thats why i love summer cruising :P
