Old school stuff, What you guys have in your closet

Yes that is the Car-Fi brand from the past that I remember. This was in the late 70's - early 80's and this was the brand that burst on the car stereo scene almost overnight. They were in every car stereo magazine and had highest ratings hands down - I never read a bad review of any of their products. Then about 3 or 4 years later, the company seemed to vanish without a trace and never spoken about since! I have always wondered what happened to them.

I would love to figure out the model# and then try to locate (for nostalgic) reasons a headunit I bought new somewhere around 1982/83. It was a Clarion and the dealer told me it was the first Clarion HU with a digital readout. I paid $1500 for it!! It only had a preamp.
Does anyone know anything about this HU? I would love to find out more about it.

A few new additions to the hoard :surprised:
The sought after Alpine 4100 DIN mounting kit ! Never used.
Sony XM-6020 and XM-2025 Amp. Very clean old skool Sony Power. Made in Japan. The XM-6020 is a tank and the XM-2020 is super tiny ! :surprised:

Rob, those orion amps are soooo hella sexy. I seen you posted them on CivicForumz.
I have 2 2150s (great working) and a blown 275 and 250. My HCCAs went with my Excursion and are missed.
Nice score though. Whats the plan with the Orions ?

Rob, that was definitely a steal on some original orion amps there. I see your kijiji wtb ads everyday.. I'm on there 4/5 times a day always looking for deals as well.. can't even start to list the gems I've found on there
