Yeah that's a pretty neat piece. And rare too. The price that thing is at is way over what I would pay for one, but that is an entirely complete unit including the remote which is a real rarity. And NIB too.

There was one here in the local Buy and Sell for $75 [img]smile.gif[/img] I considered buying it. The ALC-20 looks like a mixing board from a studio, but for the car [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I actually had one of these once......... back in the day. I didn't have the remote display, but the thing was definitely cool. And people use to flip when they saw it. I had it mounted up on the roof upside down, so when I reclined the seat back, I could tune it.

wow, when I think altec lansing.. I think computer speakers, guess they had a broader product range at that time

Mmmmm.....nicest pair of 6X9s I ever had were Altecs....almost cried when I burned out the voicecoil on one of them... [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

Oh well, another lesson learned - putting 250watts apiece into a pair of 6X9s will only work for so long...you really do have to get a subwoofer if you want loud bass.... [img]graemlins/jammin.gif[/img]
