Online Canadian Based Shops

Looking to find some items...... Mainly amps and such. Dont' wan't to deal with ebay or any U.S sites as duty is a pain in the butt.

So who knows of any good places to find some new gear from?

I haven't found any real car audio buy on line sites in Canada, except for FS, and maybe BestBuy.
However, I have purchased alot on ebay. If you know what to look for, have a max price in mind, and be patient, you can get some good bargains.
Also, I used to be in the retail business, and I have noticed that even with the high C$, Canadian prices are still 50% higher than US prices, sometimes more. They should not be more than about 20% higher. So you can get some good deals in the US, even with customs. All my $100+ items from ebay have come from Canada. My under $50 items from ebay I have requested to be shipped by US parcel post because it is handled by Canada post here and they are kinder with customs and brokerage fees.
If you are in Toronto, there is tons of stuff on ebay and on this site for sale that you can pick up yourself and pay cash on inspection. Also be prepared to be burned from time to time. I purchased a Infinity 10"sub from a big toronto based Ebay seller. Payed $25 bucks plus $20 shipping. When I got it it really looked brand new, not a single scratch mark from installation screws. However the tinsel wires where open, someone had tried to solder them back on, plus, the voice coil showed signes of overheating.
They would take it back, but instead of paying another $20 for shipping, I just purchased $5 of tinsel and fixed it myself. It is driven by a 5 channle RF amp(ebay: $120! plus some power fets for $5) putting out 200 watts on the sub. For an SQ system it is perfect
Have fun hunting.

Wow, Some Canadian web retailers

What a great thread! In a morning we found almost half a dozen Canadian based online retailers.
It is too bad that the regular google searches have a hard time to find you guys. You have little if any Ebay presence either.

Maybe you could advertise on this web site, Or setup an ebay store or something and advertise a few items to get better known.

I totally agree there are some nice deals on Ebay for sure, In the past I have been burned at the boarder a few times. I have had items that I have bought for $150 and got charged $65usd for duty. Still was a decent deal but from what I have seen the boarder can be unpredictable at times. I have asked for a list of the cost of the duty from the boarder once and they couldn't really produce one as there are differant "charges" for items that are going to be shipped and items that you would "drive over"
