Anyone have an opinion on the CL-6X's from CDT?

I've heard good things about CDT and the price seems pretty good. ($149 shipped from GCA)

If not then any suggestions about something else in a 6" for the same kind of money?

JordyO I have those in my truck and they are fantastic for SQ. That's a great deal IMO. If you'd like to hear them sometime drop me a line and maybe we can hook up. If you're leaning more towards SPL, then they're probably not your best choice.

Thanks for the offer man, I appreciate it. I actually got the idea from you. I saw them in your sig and I know you've got good taste.

I won't be going for spl with them. I'm only running a single 12" and 600w daily so I just wanted something that sounds good and can keep up with that.

They're gonna be run off an Eclipse amp btw

Get 'em then. You will NOT be dissapointed, especially at that price. I'm only feeding mine about 50 watts and they've been pumping along for about three years now.

The offer stands though. I work in Ottawa and it'd be my pleasure to let you audition them before you buy.

Hey Warren, do you think it could be possible to arrange for me to listen to your CDT ES's? I work in ottawa to and I am contemplating getting them.. but I am tired of getting speakers I dont listen to first.. I always end up dissapointed but I think the CDT's are what I am looking for.

Let me know.

Lee

Lee, I'd be happy to but...the system is still new and undergoing fine tuning. I have to get the car to Mtl in a few weeks and tune it with the father-in-law's spectral analyser. Right now I'd say the ES's are really loud and very clear sounding...but I can't say anything about the detail and soundstage etc. 'till they're properly set up.

That being said, if you'd still like to hear them in an imperfect environment then sure! If I wake up tomorrow and it's nice out, I'll be bringing the Stealth into work. Drop me an email and we can figure something out.

Warren.

Thats a generous offer! Plus it would be great to meet someone from the board.

I wont be able tomorow, but I will email you to set something maybe next week or when its good for the both of us. I dont mind if its not perfectly tuned. I just want to listen to something before I buy it... Ive made that error a bit to much.

Again, thanks!
