Question Opinions on Denon DCC8570?

I might soon have my hands on this head unit. I can't find alot of info on it. Am thinking it might make for a better unit than my current Blaupunkt RDP-550.

I know it's not a DCT high end Denon, but still Denon quality. Opinions?

Tim

I have had one of these for about 12 years in three cars the last 8 in my wifes as I upgraded to the dct950R it is an excellent deck and very reliable and with 20bit burr brown converters the sound quality is way better than any 1bit decks I,ve heard if it,s cheap you wont be disappointed let me know if you need a copy of the manual and I could help you out.

Thanks, much appreciated. Not entirely sure what to do. My thoughts are to go with Denon again for sound quality, but also thinking of getting and trying a newer Pioneer deck, one that I can play MP3s with too.

Stuck in mindset of older equipment, but newer technology (like my computer) am thinking I should attempt to give a try.

Denon always makes good stuff. If you can get it for fairly cheap, pick it up. I did a quick Google search and it seems that this was quite an expensive unit back in the day.

if sound quality is your aim then you won,t go wrong with the denon but if you want mp3 or built in equalizer and crossover then the newer deck may be the way to go

Well, I just spent same amount on a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP, appears to be a decent head unit. (option to play MP3s, aux-in etc..., and Supertuner)
