opinions on front stage only

I find that I don't like having back speakers. So I disconnected my 6x9's and only use my components in the front. I find it sounds so much better without having sound from the back except for the sub. I wanted the mid's and high's in the front only because it sounds best like that, and it's also cheaper not having to buy speakers for the back or a 4 channel amp to power all of them.

What do you guys usually do? I hear it's pretty common for some people to use front stage only.

Yeah fronts only is the way to go, I've never liked the sound of anything except sub behind me.

We use alot of four channels for power on front only setups. Alot of the time we will bridge 2 channels to the left side and 2 channels to the right side if we need lots of power, or we will use a 4 channel if we are running an active crossover network on the fronts.

Frontstage and sub combo seems to be the way to go. It simplifies sound setup (soundstage/imaging, etc.) among other things. Most modest systems amp the frontstage/sub and just run the rear fill (6x9's, etc.) off the deck (and fade to taste). If applicable, you may have to consider rear passengers and children (Sesame Street!).

hmm, would a 2 channel amp for the fronts be fine also? Example: 100rms x 2, and the speakers are 180 rms at 4 ohms. So I would be only running 1 set of RCA cables fron the Front RCA's.
