I have no experience withthe Alpines, but the Pioneer Avic N-1 is the only all in one out of the box. It will do DVD and Navigation with no additional units needed. Also it has the vehicle performance functions for the all important ricer factor. Also it has tri zone capability out of the box, you can have a DVD going to a rear monitor, and a rear view monitor and navigation on the front screen all at once. Great for pulling your speed boat through an unfamiliar part of the country.

I would want to take a closer look at the pixel count, that number seems highly exaggerated Fat Whacker (not by you), even though it is what is listed on the site for that particular Alpine, it should be taken with a grain of salt, just like the 50w x 4 amplifier claims. While I have no doubt that it is a great picture, it is probably a Sharp A grade lcd panel that is used (a guess), thus what one company may call 1.5 million pixels, another company may call 500,000 pixels. The ways that things can be measured to show a better spec.....

unless you know anything different i guess we have accept that it has 1.15 million pixels, and it is widely accepted that headunit manufacturers have exaggerated power ratings, but alpine was the first to do eia ratings this year on their head unit amps
