Just looking for comments here take a look at my sig and give me opinions of what you think of my planned setup. The new Alpine and the Infinity's are going in this weekend. I will use the RF 301x to power the front and brigded to my sub and use the deck power for my rear fill. How will this sound?
I'm not looking to compete just want decent SQ

Let'er rip good or bad let me know

I dunno man.. and accord! ?
LOL

Looks good. Are you going to Port your RF?
And what arey you powering your fronts with?
I think you should power you fronts and subs off that amp and power the rears off the deck

I think he meant he was running the amp in tri-mode correct?

Hopefully it is a D4 version and run it in series otherwise the amp is going to shut down.

Look for a biiger amp to run the sub later on and leave the 301x on the comps.

Ok I am confused can you explain trimode?

This is what I will have when the install is completed this weekend a new deck CDA-9815 which will power my rear 6x9's. An RF 301x 4-channel,
channel 1 and 2 powering the comp's and channel 3 and 4 bridged to my RF sub. Is this the best configuration?

A mono amp will come in time for the sub.

Thats right..
What your doing is I guess considered tri mode.

Real tri mode would be when you take a 2 channel amp and power a set of components off 2 channels
and bridge the same 2 channels for a sub.
You would need a passive crossover on your woofer in order for that to work correctly.

Right now its in a crappy Q-Logic box with a removable port I have the port sealed right now. I would like to in the future get a custom built box but after the money I spent in the last week and the wifie threating to cut my B@#LS off if I continue. I will live with it

Yes it's stable to 2 ohms

Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 RFD2212 12" Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer

Cut and paste........

Dual Voice Coils: For increased system flexibility, the woofer has two 3" 4 ohm voice coils. When the voice coils are wired in parallel with each other, the woofer presents a 2 ohm mono load. When the voice coils are wired in series with each other, the woofer presents an 8 ohm mono load. In addition, each coil may be connected to a different amplifier channel and each channel will see a 4 ohm load.

So this brings me to another question should I bridge the two channels (it's wired this wy now) or would it be better if I wire it 1 channel to each voice coil?
