Looking to pick up a new amp to push my sx15. Which would be a better choice. Prices are very similar, just wondering what would be a better choice.

What is the price?

I would pick the Orion, although I have tried to run a DD9515 of one but didn't perform as well as I had hoped. I may have an amp that you may be interested in PM me if you like. It ran the DD about 4dB louder.

I think the orion is 209 and the viper is like 188 or something, so like 20 bucks difference. Is the orion worth an extra 20 bones?

Considering the Viper line has been discontinued I would opt for the Orion. Reason being is if you ever have any problems with the Viper and you have to get it warranteed DEI may just give you a new DEI piece as a replacement and then you are left with a different amp that may not fit in your install (dimensions/colour).
