there are two 4 awg inputs(12 volt) and 2 4 awg grounds. assuming you have stock alt, a cap may help, but in the long run you should get a new HO alt, a nice batt(yellow top or orbital), do the big 3 and then you should be fine. Remember, that amp has been tested and at full tilt it will put 300 amps, a stock alt is probly only good for about 60 at the max on a car, some vans and trucks have 100-110 amp alts.

but if your dead set on a cap, get a 2 farad. im not 100% sure on this, but i remember hearing that every .5 farad is good for 500 WRMS. so if its a DD then you prob wont pull more then 1500 WRMS for long periods of time, so a 1 farad should do, but for the price you should just get a 2. but then again for the price, you could do the big 3, you might get more out of your system doing the big 3 then you would if you got a cap. even just upgrading the batt-ground would make a big difference, seeing how most car companies dont get a baremetal contact on the ground. the just put the ground wire over paint...

That amp will pull huge current. If you're using it for SPL comps then skip the cap and just get the biggest batt allowed/fit.
If it is for daily driving then skip the cap and use the money for the biggest H.O. alternator you can find.
