Orion HCCA

Re's fried after 1 month on this amp. Sorry Re :} They are the same in output ( relatively ) but the Orions hit harder and like a small box compared to the sx's. I put 1/2 pound of polyfill in a 2.0 cf box for the both shared. It smooths out the respone greatly and I am very happy with the results. My front window flexes a great deal for 2 10's in a small box.

love them. always have. but to pricey for me. what kind of car do you have them in? i would consider getting a better box tho.. bassworks doesnt have anything to give you the full range of those HCCA's box is half the battle.

I love these new HCCA'S! Like you said they sure are pricey buy worth it. I was lucky and got one for 175 still sealed in the box from a guy that was a dealer. The second one cost me 500 ( all fees in ) shipped from sonic electronics. So it wasn't too bad. I wanted something that would last and not heat up fast like the re's did. They are in a genesis coupe 2.0t. I can't put a bigger box in that car so I am stuck with it. I don't mind the box personally. My re's sounded good in it ( till they fried ) and so do the orion's now. I just put in a bit of polyfill. The box is 2 cf with no divider and tuned to 40 hz ( I like the high tune ) Orion recommends them to be tuned at 42 so I am close. After displacement the subs are in about .8 each. Orion recommends 1.5 each if using under 1500 watts and .75 if using over 1500 watts. I am giving them a clean 750 each so the box is slightly too small but the poly helps and it does slam hard. I am very happy with them. I am going to make a video of them soon. This is a vid of my old re's on the same amp.
