Panasonic CQ-DFX983U vs Pioneer DEH-P7500MP
#1
I've narrowed my choice in head units down to these two. The only problem is I've never actually gotten to use the Panasonic as I can't seem to find it around in any of the shops here. (I'll be buying online eventually) I know all about features and all that so the deciding factor is probably going to be looks and ease of use. I like the Pioneer...does anyone have experience with the Panasonic? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would say go with the Pioneer.
I used that Panasonic recently for a couple of weeks (borrowed it from a friend because I had no radio).
Right now I have the Pioneer Premier 740 in (which is almost identical to the 7500).
Why do I say go with the pioneer? Way more features.
The panasonic has little to no eq fuctions outside of treble/bass (which are basically useless). It also doesn't have a high pass filter (if you need one). The Pioneer has a few more eq funtions, which makes it easier to have your system sounding a little better than buying a full 13-30 band eq.
Also, this is not really a feature, but a comment, since both decks are meant to be flashy, in my opinion, the Pioneer also looks better in that aspect. Clearer screen, better screen savers...etc.
What else...only thing I can say that would be "better" about the Panasonic, is the fact that it has faster mp3 playback, and it already includes an aux adapter (whereas the pioneer, if you need one, it's a seperate part).
Overall, if price is not a factor, I'd say go with the Pioneer. While the Panasonic isn't too bad, it just lacks the many features the Pioneer has (a few of which I haven't mentioned).
