panzi (amps in series) efficiency

ok thx Haunz & Fabe, I was just wondering if I could plug my two amps in series (2X1200) to install more subs on the same circuit. Does it lower impedance limits and/or does a setup like this increase power? Where can I find a bridging module?

Lots of amps can be bridged ... but it does depend on what amp you are talking about.
Maybe you should just say what you are trying to do. As in, "I have 2 subs right now on one amp and I want to put in one more sub and another identical amp, what's the best way to get the most power out of the system"
You can get the most power out of an amp by attaching speakers in such a way that the amp is running at it's minimum resistance. So, if I understand ou correctly, you're best to put one amp running half the speakers and the other amp running the other half of the speakers (ie: 2 subs per amp instead of bridging the amps and running all 4 off the connected setup).

Thx a lot Ettore, I am sorry I wasn't more precise about the question but I am a bit embarrassed, I actually got 4 MTX 9500 series which I will never get rid of, but with the money left I could only afford 2 used Pheonix Gold QX 180.2. They are 2 channels 180rms x1 @ 4ohm. This money is actually my student loan so if someone could help me out so I can have some musik going...

Dude, those subs require ~4Kw of power, so if you use those amps it's like trying to bake a turkey in a toaster-->something will blow up! [img]graemlins/freak.gif[/img]
Now, if you don't have cash, you should trade some subs for an amp or two; but I suggest that perhaps you return them and get your money back so that you can continue to go to school.
