I'm just curious how people's system value is broken down.

For example.

Head unit and processors: X%

Wiring(signal and power): X%

Speakers: X%

Amplifiers: X%

Maybe nobody cares...but I think it's a valid way of measuring a system's balance.

Again, I don't care what the $$$ value is of each area, just the balance of the system.

What 'chu got?

Ok...

HU - 32.6%
Amps - 27.9%
Speakers - 34.9% (comps+sub)
Wiring - 4.6%

A little light on the amps probably because they were both purchased used, not retail pricing.
Also, pretty basic wiring. No fancy $$$rca's here.

not exactly exact but around there basically the head unit is my most valuable piece of car audio at the moment.

Head unit and processors: 60%

Wiring(signal and power): 5%

Speakers: 20%

Amplifiers: 15%

I've gotten most of my equipment new at dealer cost so the numbers may be a bit different if I paid retail but it goes:

HU - 28.2%
Amps- 30.7%
Speakers - 25.6%
Wiring - 15.3%

In total I have about $4000 worth of electronics including the HO alternater which I have added in the wiring percentage.

mike, have you found very cheap subs+speakers that sound great, or are your amps just crazy expensive?
