Hi everyone, first timer here, this is Drew
i have a question about the tv module that i can hook up to my Pioneer avhp4900. Does the module or also know as tv tuner have to be a pioneer unit or can i get one of these as shown here

cause pioneer shows their tuner as a part number in the instalation instructions

im pretty sure if your screen deck has A/V inputs you can hook up any TV Tunner to it as long as the tunner has A/V outputs.

the disadvatage of some other tuner over the pioneer tunner is that u will not be able to control/switch channels on the tunner via the pioneer screen. you will have to use a separate remote to do that.

my advice to you is that a TV tunner is a waste of time, money and effort. I had one once and you dont catch anything good with those things. Nothing worth watching anyways.
