The DRZ9255 is still a better 'audiophile' deck....

 

Not sure, it's more a matter of personal taste. Each used high-end DAC and they all sound different. For some the difference will be marginal (hell, i'm half deaf) but for others it could be huge.

yes the on screen displays are georgeous and the lighting on the unit is very attractive... as far as sq on pioneer vs clarion.... hmmmm hard to say whats faster a lamborgini or a ferrari.... who cares both are so damn fast that i will have to look at something other than speed for my purchase... so lets look eleswere,, pioneer cleaner look, more powerful clock, more burr-brown converters, more eq power, 2 power supplies, which are completely defeatable for ultimate sq, full time alignment, full 4 way xover, and probably carries the awsome quality of pioneer.... now you got to ask yourself does the clarion really compare?? oh and yes the deck is comming to canada! was anounced last week.
if you are really interested in this unit please go to pioneerelectronics.ca and send them an email that you would like one... lets give them a good REASON to bring them over hear but be prepared to shell out over a grand..

 

...or this Pioneer might be the new champion, and you'll be forced to sell the Clarion :P

The clarion is nice but over all, the pioneer beats it in pretty much every category IMO.

If this thing comes to Canada, I doubt it would be close to 1G, I would think it would be closer to 2. Thus one reason why they don't do well over here... that and the whole gray market thing.

I will point out that no US dealer has said they would be available in the US.... that to me makes it unlikely that it will be braught to Canada only.

 

Goalie there would be talking directly with Pioneer. We were discussing just last week what a suck it was that this was not supposed to come to Canada. If he says they're telling him it is, I would believe him.

how about a CCA bulk buy... I know the chances are between slim and none ... BUT I would be glad to make the drive to purchase a genuine ...warrantied DEX
