Has anybody had any experience with the Pioneer DIGITAL BROADCAST TUNER?

I remember this a while back and i remember it being like 800 bucks! Has anybody used one? Are they worth it? Pioneer does not even have it on its websie anymore, even in the archives. I saw a new one for like 35 bucks and wondering if I should take it

here is the link from pioneer, I do not know mch about it. Does it turn the curent broadcasts into digital? Or do the stations have to have the ability to broadcast digitally?
