pioneer problem(quick fix)

went out last night, had about an hour drive home, had the deck (dehp-9300) running the whole time sorta loud, a few blocks from my house, all i hear is my subs, no mids or highs, did it get too hot and cut out? i tried the reset button and that didnt help...any other ideas? ill see if it works in the morning

yes all 4 are frunning off the deck...but would as short cause all 4 to cut out?, this happend before with my dehp-7200, and after hitting the reset button it played fine, and only cut out after i turned it up all the way

and yes...my new speakers are coming in on wed of next week, and then the following monday the amp will be here,
but how will i get it working till then? just the subs arent going to cut it......
if one speaker shorted out, anyway i can get the other three working?

That happened with the first deck I had, a pioneer tape deck. The rca's worked fine but the internal amp got fried when I went through this heavy construction area. Decided to get a CDplayer rather than pay to get it fixed. When this happened I did smell burning, so if you didnt smell anything burning you may be able to fix it easily.

well i didnt smell any burning, and i hooked up all the speakers seperatly to the deck one by one and still nothing...i checked all connections except one so i have no idea whats wrong. i will be getting an amp in a few weeks for my mids and high so i thjink i imight have to wait untill then to have music

By 'hooped' I mean IMO you most likely have smoked the speaker output chip in the deck and it will need to into a tech to be fixed. Back in the bad ol' days that would have smoked the RCA outs too. In that respect you got lucky

yea i think thats it....i tried all the speakers induvidually and still nothing...i plugged the stock radio back in and boom, work just fine...so it is that chip your refering to, or someone else told me it could be the internal amp, either way ive been told it will cost me around 200$ or more to fix, so il just have to stick with the stock untill my new speakers and amp arrive
