Planning to go a bit more advanced..

In the next few months I'm going to have a lot of money coming my way and I am looking to do some upgrading to higher quality gear.

I was wondering..Right now I have RF 6x9's in the rear..the model is in my sig. I was wondering..whats the next step up from 6x9's?

Also, is the 4ch amp I have enuff to power the higher quality components like focal, mb..ect ect? I bought this amp because of the name..the reviews and the price. Did I purchase something that would do well in a higher quality build?

What is wrong with the sound of your 6x9's now? Do you plan on upgrading your front speakers also?

Your amp is a decent size but you are correct that it may not have enough power to support some speakers. Whethor you have to change the amp will depend on what speakers/setup you decide to go with.

I would be upgrading the front speakers right away over the lesser important rear speakers. The JBL is a nice inexpensive amplifier, it does a alright job for the $ it sells for. More power and better build is always a nice thing but it needs to go with your budget. I would pour $ into better speakers and use your existing amp over a small upgrade in the speakers and a new amp. Again, the JBL amp is a alright amp for the $, I would not put it in the same category as many other 4 channel amplifiers like the Pioneer Premiere, Alpine PDX and Eclipse XA series for example. To each his own though, it is up to you and your budget.
