Hey Guys

I've been toying around with the idea of running,2 10's and a 15. But now i'm not sure if i would have two much cancelation. The subs i'm looking at are 2 10"mojo's and a mojo 15. The ten's running off a memphis 1500d. And the 15 running off a seperate 1500d. And the 2 10" in one ported box and the 15 in a seperate box ported as well. All in a 97 neon. Is this a waste of time and money or would it be beneficial.

Direct cancellation aint gonna be an issue at subbass frequencies.... But the only way this kind of idea works well IMO, is if you have 2 sealed 10s and want the 15 tuned for low extension...

depending on subs if you are more/less tuned the same with the same allignment there may not be any drawbacks but no real benifits either... you can mess with using different tuning but I don't see much point... you are only asking for and extra peak in group delay and an extra peak in response... messing with allignments can change the setup further, but again I don't see much point...

Since you are an SQ guy Id say just go for 2 15s tuned low and some 10s or 8s that you can use as midbass only... I think you'll like that better...

I've never been happy with a system with multiple sized drivers in ported boxes playing the same thing.

97 Neon won't give you much room with 2 15's. I'd stay with one, and add whatever midbass drivers you need as Haunz said.

Yeah, i have to agree with the guys above. i did this years ago and did not like the result, I found that there was a heavy resonance that muddied the bass lines and caused the system to ring and sound boomy. I ended up putting 2- 15's which was excellent sounding and louder. That's my favourite set up, when space permits, i have 3-12's now which is also very good.
