it takes 10 dB in terms of human perception?...well i guess that makes sense. i knew about the 3 dB from my discovery channel days but it 136 doesn't seem that much louder than 133, and defintely not twice as much.
but yeah Yuli that handbuilt thing is the only considerable drawback to the IA's that i can think of, but i was for a time considering the DD2512 and DD claims their subs are handbuilt as well so that puts my doubts to rest. plus i keep reading so many positive things about them. the built quality on the AQ as you said was great as they're built in the same place as the TF's. i dunno i guess i got lucky with my Cerwins and now i'm afraid of getting a lemon for a replacement.
jalat i'm gonna be giving the pair 1200 watts rms. both companies claimed 140s would be possible. AQ told me that with an AQ1200D most end users do high 140's at the dash, but i think that might be vehicle specific, and its a recession so a new amp isn't scheduled yet. the Incriminators can do a 146's in a trunk, and thats what i was told by an owner i messaged on youtube. i haven't been able to talk to too many SDC owners, but one review i had read about them said that one was installed and did 140 something...i hate to say it but its time like this i wish i lived in the states

DD isnt hand build. it used to be, but they've upgraded since. I think the only DD subs that are hand built are the ones made to special orders and the ones that cost $2000 per sub, like their Z series woofers.

PI personally have never had the pleasure of abusing an IA sub but from what I've seen they are a good company.
My personal pic would be AQ for the cost, customer service, and durability.
If your going by scores I got a pr. of 10in AQ's doing 150+ sealed at the dash. For me that doesn't say sheyot though. It took the better part of 2 yrs. and countless hrs. of testing, boxes, blowing sheyot up etc...
Nothing is a dead drop in high 140's guarantee. I had a pr. of 12's on 5k and for the life of me couldn't break 141. It's all in the build and vehicle. Just my opinion.
