Lightbulb Power Loss Need GOOD battery!

Hey I would like by thanking everyone for trying to help me with my problem,

Im running a decent system 2 10's audiobahns imortals 1500rms each, on a alphasonic 2900rms amp, with a 20farad cap , 4gage wires and alpine d300 unit,

put the subs up to 10+ vol @ 20 system shuts off and restarts, i guess not enough juice to the amp. what kind of battery should i be putting for this kind of system i was thinking of an optima yellow top since its deep cycle and has the agm technology, but ppl told me they no good, also my batt cant be big has to fit the engine bay bat tray since i got no room @ all in the trunk civic is small car.

Before you upgrade your battery Id be worrying about your power/ground wires... that amp is going to pull around 350 ampears of current during peak demands... you need AT LEAST 1/0 cable for that my friend...

Even after a wire upgrade with a decent battery you will probably find that your charging system is inadequate. Id recommend a HO alt but its going to rob HP from a car that might not have much to spare.. still a small upgrade to something slightly larger might be a good idea..

Id also consider ditching your electric BBQ for something a little more efficient...

^^^ 100% agreed... Your stock Civic Alt isn't enough for 2900W and neither is the 4 Awg... with the right pully you won't see any HP loss, but deffinetly get a new Alt... I know they are expensive, but it's the right upgrade, rather than a cheap bandaid for the problem...

regards, Mark

Not to many places would stock it, you'll have to find a local battery shop that can order it in for you.

Make sure you ask@ what rpms youre gonna get 15o amps? Chances ae that it'll bea waste of 80 bucks
I got a quote for the same with an explination of power supply and determined it to be a waste of money.
To get it built the right way would have costed 4-500 bucks, this is my experience. My not be youre tho?
