Probems with my Alpine MRDM300 and Subs...

I just recently installed 2 10" rockford fostgate punch 1's on a Alpine MRDM 300 (which does 300watts at 2 ohms)...

Basically what happens is, when I turn on my car, and turn up the speakers to hear what I hoped would be the subs pumping... I heard nothing but a light kick, so I went to program the deck to give me massive bass, well that didnt work....

Is there something I did wrong in the install or is it something i need to change in the amp/deck..

Has anyone used this amp, and knows if there is a safety switch I need turn turn off, or if there is a setting I need to change?

please help!

Disconnect one sub only and see if the output improves. If it does, then you have wired one of the subs backwards, called out of phase. This causes a loss in bass response in this application.
