Unhappy

Well, I have installed my entire system this past thursday (new thread will be made later), and I have a slight problem.

I am running a Zapco AG750 ,powering my e8a sub.
My sub is dual 4 ohms, therefore I have it hooked up to 1 channel of my amp. My amp is only capable of 2 ohm stereo. The sub is getting 350 watts.

---SPECS OF AMP:

175W x 2 @ 4ohm stereo
350W x 2 @ 2ohm stereo
750W x 1 @ 4ohm mono

So the problem is that the amp keeps on cutting out at medium-high volumes..then when I lower the volume, it comes back on.
So basically my amp is cutting out....

What could be the problem ?

EDIT: Well now that I think.... I have the sub wired inside for bridged mode, when I should have it wired up for 2 x 350watts @ 2ohms.
I think I have to rewire the sub properly..

Too low impedance, or a shorted speaker wire. Im not familliar with that amp, but if its not 2 ohm stable, y not run it 8 ohms mono?

I have a zapco AG750 . These are the specs:

175W x 2 @ 4ohm stereo
350W x 2 @ 2ohm stereo
750W x 1 @ 4ohm mono

I want to power a e8a4.4 dual 4ohm sub.
In what configuration will I run this sub with my amp ?

so 8 ohm mono will be about 350 watts

check out JL audio's tutoral section for a diagram on how to wire it
Have you got a link ?

Why don't you just run each coil at 175 then? Just switch the amp to mono instead of stereo...
Wouldn't that make sense?
