putting in my deck and herd a pop wats wrong

i was puttin in my JVC deck and i herd a pop. then a little bit of somke came out. i took it out then put it back in it turned on and shut off like 3 times. i tried to turn my windhield wipers on then an they wont come on. and wen i push the eject button like 5 times in a row it will say eject then shut right bakc off.

check your fuses. Usually a pop is a fuse blowing and if you wipers arent working that makes sense.

for sure its a fuse. Just for future reference it's always a good idea to disconnect the neg side of the battery when doing any work on a car

if you released the majic smoke theres more wrong then just a fuse
i would say you probably blew it up
so more than likely your going to have to take it back for warranty

Before re-connecting it, double check your wiring. If a fuse blew, there must be something off.

you never know I have installed decks that had a bit of smoke come out of them and I pluged them and they worked fine. Check your wiring make sure it's all correct test them is my recomendation. Then plug the deck in. If it works you got lucky and just remember to be more careful next time.

Disconnect ur batterie's neg side also like mentioned above before doing any more work
