Question about my setup!!!?!?!?need opinion
OK so heres the deal
i have an Orion1200d mono amp
1200 x1ohm
725x 2ohms
425x 4ohms
hooked up to 3 crossfire 10" dvc 4ohm subs 350rms each.. which allows me to wire down to a 2.6ohm load....http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=3&woof er_imp=4
which means my amp isnt working at its best potental...
Now i was wondering if the setup would be louder if i took out one sub and hooked two of them up cause then it would allow me to get a 1ohm load and use the amp at its max... the subs will be a bit overpowered but im wondering if it would be louder than the 3. I would try it but its a pain in the *** taking all the boxes and wiring out of my trunk (2006 Honda Civic si).
Just need some opinions.....

If the box is tuned right, the two subs may well be louder than the 3 of them. However, you will be drastically overpowering the subs at 1 ohm, end result might be blown subs. So it all comes down to a bad match of amp to subs in your case, damned if you do and damned if you don't.
