Question on crossover & slopes.

The H/U has multiple crossover frequency points for Low-Mid-High, but since I have the fronts high passed anyway (at 80) would these settings even change anything? They are enabled under a "custom equalizer" setting on the deck. Next sub menu to that one is the slope (manual is a bit vague but shows a bell curve graph) where I can choose 1n 2n 1w 2w which I assume is narrow and wide, with 2n haveing a greater range to either side of the chosen frequency than 1n. I understand one setting is more gradual than the other, but to what end I'm not sure. The mids have a range from as low as 200hz up tp 4000hz for example, and the tweets go up to 12k.

Then on top of all that, the front component's have a passive crossover stuck in the door anyway, so am I just wasting my time adjusting the deck?

Thanks

yes you are somewhat wasting your time. Your 4004 has crossovers you should just use those. The crossovers in the doors will also do there thing as well. It's easier to tune if done at the amp, keep it simple.
